Raising over $100K for Charities in 2015

Kevin Edmonds was a loving husband and a happy father of two whose magical life was unexpectedly cut short on April 10, 2012. Just 16 months earlier, Kevin and his wife, Christine, received the devastating news— Kevin was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.

A Love for Life was formed in December of 2012 to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research at the Abramson Cancer Center at The University of Pennsylvania. According to the American Cancer Society only 20 percent of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive a year while the average survival rate for a stage four diagnosis is just six months.

Help change those numbers by raising money and awareness of this disease during the Trenton Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. Join us on October 29, 2016 to celebrate life, friendship, and adventure.

In case we haven’t met, I’m Caroline Lanctot.  I was injured in a car accident when I was ten months old. That was over 12 years ago.  I am going to race in my wheelchair in the Trenton Half Marathon on October 29…with a little help from my friends. And that could mean you!

Please be part of our team and have your own PERSONAL fundraising page!  You can then send it to everyone you know so that you can start raising money for our cause.  We’re asking that all of our runners raise a minimum of $150.00 (this will include your registration/bib fees) by October 20, 2016.

The Sean F. Hogan Sr. Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is helping to alleviate some of the financial burden families with children experience after a cancer diagnosis. The Foundation provides assistance with child care expenses for families with a parent or guardian diagnosed with any type of cancer. The Foundation is equally committed to providing financial support for continuing research and education through lectures for public awareness of Cholangiocarcinoma. The statistics in terms of survival rate for Cholangiocarcinoma are devastating. Sean and I were robbed of our time together as a couple and as a family. The Foundation is committed to increasing awareness of this specific type of cancer and to making a positive impact toward changing the statistics of the survival rate. Join our team and help us in the fight against cancer.
