A Love for Life

Kevin Edmonds was a loving husband and a happy father of two whose magical life was unexpectedly cut short on April 10, 2012. Just 16 months earlier, Kevin and his wife, Christine, received the devastating news— Kevin was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.

A Love for Life was formed in December of 2012 to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research at the Abramson Cancer Center at The University of Pennsylvania. According to the American Cancer Society only 20 percent of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive a year while the average survival rate for a stage four diagnosis is just six months.

Help change those numbers by raising money and awareness of this disease during the Trenton Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. Join us on October 29, 2016 to celebrate life, friendship, and adventure.

Caroline's Hope

In case we haven’t met, I’m Caroline Lanctot. I was injured in a car accident when I was ten months old. That was over 14 years ago. I am going to race in my wheelchair in the Trenton Half Marathon on October 28…with a little help from my friends. And that could mean you!

Please be part of our team and have your own PERSONAL fundraising page! You can then send it to everyone you know so that you can start raising money for our cause. We’re asking that all of our runners raise a minimum of $150.00 (this will include your registration/bib fees) by October 20, 2017

Sean Strong

The Sean F. Hogan Sr. Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is helping to alleviate some of the financial burden families with children experience after a cancer diagnosis. The Foundation provides assistance with child care expenses for families with a parent or guardian diagnosed with any type of cancer. The Foundation is equally committed to providing financial support for continuing research and education through lectures for public awareness of Cholangiocarcinoma. The statistics in terms of survival rate for Cholangiocarcinoma are devastating. Sean and I were robbed of our time together as a couple and as a family. The Foundation is committed to increasing awareness of this specific type of cancer and to making a positive impact toward changing the statistics of the survival rate. Join our team and help us in the fight against cancer.

When registering with our team, please use the code "SEANstrong".

Mercer County Boys and Girls Club

Join as an individual or a team to run for Club Kids as part of the Trenton Half Marathon, 10k or 5K. The Club will sponsor your race entrance fee in exchange for you asking your friends, family and colleagues to donate to help Trenton area youth to attend Club programs. Each runner sets a minimum goal of $250.

Our overall goal is to raise $100,000 to establish an entrepreneurship and financial literacy program for inner-city youngsters. Both B&G Club staff and volunteer industry professionals will teach them the fundamentals of capitalism and provide insight into the various opportunities available in the financial industry. US Naval Sea Cadets Corps - John T. Dempster, Jr. Division

The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a nonprofit organization that provides young adults (ages 11-17) with compelling, life-changing experiences that instill values of teamwork, discipline, self-reliance, camaraderie and service.

Cadets receive training in leadership, maritime skills, aviation training, physical fitness and substance abuse prevention.

Based at the Lawrenceville Armory, the John T. Dempster Jr. Division is made up of young men and women from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, supported by an active group of adult volunteers.

The John T. Dempster Jr. Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps was named one of the best units in the nation. Founded in 1960, our Division is one of the oldest units in the nation, with thousands of alumni.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of youths who participate in the USNSCC program pursue further training in the various branches of the military and public service. Twelve percent (12%) of each US Naval Academy graduating class are former Sea Cadets. Others will enter public service with Police, Fire Departments, FBI, US Border Agents, and EMS.

Somewhere in the world today, our Dempster Sea Cadet Alumni are protecting all of us!

We would like to ask your help in supporting our Sea Cadets. As a 501 (c) 3 organization, we are funded by a combination of dues from participant families, Cadet fundraising and generous donations from individuals, local businesses and organizations such as yours.

Would you consider a contribution to help support the Dempster Sea Cadet Division?

The youth we develop and train today, will be the leaders of tomorrow.
